Actress Amber Heard chose to avoid talking about her ex-husband when actor Johnny Depp came to promote a movie in Madrid, where she has settled since the scandalous lawsuit two years ago.
According to Holla!, when reporters met Amber Heard on the streets of Madrid and asked about Johnny Depp’s upcoming business trip, she replied: “I love living in Madrid and love Spain. I am very lucky to be here. About the past, I don’t want to think or talk about it. I am happy and at peace with my current life.”

Johnny Depp is scheduled to arrive in Madrid this week to appear on the popular TV show El Hormiguero . The Hollywood actor will attend the San Sebastian International Film Festival on September 24 to promote his latest project, Modi .
Amber Heard and her young daughter moved to Spain in late 2022 after losing a defamation lawsuit against Johnny Depp. The Aquaman actress initially lived on the island of Mallorca, away from the public eye and paparazzi. A few months later, she moved to Madrid, continuing to choose a simple, private lifestyle. Amber was photographed taking her children to the park and shopping like any other normal mother.
In some previous conversations with paparazzi, Amber said she hoped to live in Spain permanently . She studied Spanish hard and is now fluent in the language. The American actress said she loves the people and the atmosphere here. In the past two years, she has enjoyed a quiet life and has not appeared in any film projects.

Meanwhile, Johnny Depp has been living mainly in the UK, busy with performances and new film projects. Johnny initially lived in a rural area in Somerset, then moved to London to work. “Johnny is in London editing Modi – the biopic he is directing. He is living a healthier lifestyle than before,” a source revealed to Dailymail in April. The 61-year-old actor is currently rumored to be dating Russian model Yulia Vlasova, 28.

Amber Heard and Johnny Depp dated since 2012 and married in 2015. When she filed for divorce in May 2016, Amber Heard accused Johnny of domestic violence and asked the court to issue a restraining order against him. The divorce was finalized quickly after Johnny paid Amber $7 million in spousal support and the two issued a joint statement about their “sometimes turbulent but always loving marriage.” They also stated that “never intended to cause physical or emotional harm to the other and neither party made false accusations for financial gain.”
Three years later, Johnny Depp sued Amber for defamation in an op-ed in The Washington Post in which she described herself as a “public figure who represents domestic violence.” Johnny Depp claimed that Amber had fabricated the abuse and that the article had damaged his reputation and cost him movie deals. The case went to public trial in June 2022, and after weeks of deliberation, the jury found that Amber had defamed Johnny Depp, ordering her to pay more than $10 million in damages. Johnny also had to pay his ex-wife $2 million for defaming her in an article. Six months later, Amber and Johnny reached a settlement: Johnny agreed to take $1 million from his ex-wife and donate it all to charity.
